All of these books look so interesting! Right now I'm reading Eat, Pray, Love, and I just ordered Dante's Inferno and A Midsummer Night's Dream [I haven't read wither since high school]. I'm making it a small goal of mine to read a lot this summer! :]
Lucky lucky you to not have an AP summer reading list. Books I love: anything and everything written by David Sadaris, and the collected plays of Neil Simon.
Oh my gosh, it's been a while! Thanks for your blog comment, though, it reminded me of how much I adore your blog. A few things: a) I LOVE Margaret Atwood. I've read a couple books by her before and am reading "Lady Oracle" right now and everything she does is just so great. I love that you're reading her b) East of Eden is definitely on my list too. Same with Brothers Karamazov. c) "Eating Animals" looks SO good. I want to read it, you'll have to let me know what you think. Have you seen Food, Inc? It's awesome and I think you'd like it d) You are superb.
Mandy, I love a midnight summers dream! And I have been intrigued by dantes inferno for awhile but have yet to read it...yes, that's an amazing goal!
Catherine, oh I feel your pain. I've had many summers of ap required reading...somehow school seems to suck the fun out of even literature! Stink. Good luck w your reading! And thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to look them up!
Kelly, oh I haven't read that! But I have definitely heard it's good. May have to add to list!
Christine, ohmygosh it's been too long. I am so excited to read Margaret atwood, all the books of hers I've come across look fascinating! And I have been wanting to read eating animals for sooo long, and kind of can't wait, so I will def let you know!! Oh wow, you're so awesome! I'm so glad I went to your blog and you came to mine..hooray!
Quite the inspiring list of reads! I'm currently reading "Onward" by Howard Schultz which is about when Starbucks suffered a setback and needed to be dug out in order to reclaim its magic. Very interesting to say least...there's a big heart behind such a corporate brand!
