(best roommate ever)
"Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around?" Kathleen Kelly, You've Got Mail
For someone who loves to write and is entranced by the written word, I am constantly frustrated at how hard I find it to put how I am feeling into words. That's why I am so thankful for the genius of others and masterpieces such as You've Got Mail where I can garner bits of wisdom and put them on my blog so that others can read them and understand a little bit of the mess that is me. Oi. Sometimes I am weary from living vicariously through stories in books and movies and brave friends. And yet, at the same time, I am terrified of having my own adventures, terrified I will fall short or crumble under the weight of the unknown. Hmm, just a thought for the day...
At the expense of relating to a fictional character once again (although I can't really complain because Kathleen Kelly is awesome and who the heck wouldn't want to be her?!), maybe I will find myself a witty and adorable mystery man who also happens to be rich though I don't care with whom I correspond over email and meanwhile open my own book shop. Now that's a good sounding adventure. BEST PLAN EVER.
